About the American Digital Infrastructure Coalition
DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE IS
CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE.
America's economy increasingly depends on the infrastructure behind cloud computing, artificial intelligence, communications, healthcare, financial services, cybersecurity and countless digital services used every day.
The American Digital Infrastructure Coalition brings together the companies building, powering and supporting that infrastructure to advance responsible development, strengthen communities and help America remain a global technology leader.
Who We Are
A National, Industry-Supported Organization
The American Digital Infrastructure Coalition is a national, industry-supported organization dedicated to advancing the responsible growth of digital infrastructure across the United States.
We bring together developers, operators, utilities, energy providers, technology companies, engineering and construction firms, infrastructure providers, economic development organizations and other stakeholders working to build America's digital future.
Our work focuses on the issues increasingly shaping digital infrastructure development.
Our goal is straightforward: Help America build the digital infrastructure it needs while strengthening the communities where that investment occurs.

Why the Coalition Exists
The Conversation Needs to Start Earlier.
The infrastructure supporting America's digital economy is expanding at an unprecedented pace.
At the same time, communities are asking important questions about energy, water, infrastructure, land use, economic impact and the role data centers will play in their future.
Too often, those conversations begin after misinformation, uncertainty or opposition has already taken hold.
ADIC exists to help change that.
We believe the industry must engage earlier, communicate more clearly and provide communities with factual, understandable information about how modern digital infrastructure works and why it matters.
At the same time, policymakers need informed industry participation when developing the regulations and infrastructure policies that will shape America's ability to compete in the global digital economy.
Our Mission
To advance responsible digital infrastructure development
By bringing together industry, communities and policymakers to improve public understanding, strengthen community relationships and support policies that enable America's digital economy to grow.
ADVANCE RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT
Support development practices that allow the industry to grow while thoughtfully addressing energy, infrastructure, water, environmental considerations and community impact.
STRENGTHEN COMMUNITIES
Encourage meaningful engagement between developers, residents, local governments and community stakeholders while highlighting opportunities for investment, infrastructure and long-term economic growth.
BUILD AMERICA'S DIGITAL FUTURE
Support the infrastructure necessary for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, communications, healthcare, financial services, cybersecurity and America's continued technological leadership.
Community Engagement
COMMUNITY ACCEPTANCE IS
INFRASTRUCTURE.
A technically sound project can still face delays when communities do not understand what is being proposed or why it matters.
Successful digital infrastructure development increasingly requires more than engineering, land and power. It requires trust.
ADIC promotes earlier engagement, clearer communication and better public education around the issues communities care about most.
Better information creates better conversations.
Better conversations create stronger projects.
Facts Matter
Countering Misinformation with Facts.
Data centers are increasingly part of public conversations across America — and those conversations are not always driven by accurate information.
ADIC works to provide clear, factual and accessible information — respectfully correcting misinformation without attacking residents or dismissing legitimate concerns.
ADIC provides clear, factual information about:
- What data centers actually do
- Why digital infrastructure is necessary
- How modern facilities use energy
- How cooling technologies work
- How infrastructure is financed and developed
- The economic impact of major projects
- How communities can evaluate proposed developments
- The role data centers play in America's digital economy
Economic Development
INVESTING IN AMERICAN COMMUNITIES
Well-structured digital infrastructure projects can create meaningful economic benefits for host communities. Actual outcomes vary substantially by project, tax structure and jurisdiction.
Private Capital Investment
Construction Activity
Skilled Employment
Expanded Tax Base
Infrastructure Investment
Local Business Opportunities
Long-Term Economic Development
Energy & Transmission Investment
Projects can deliver these benefits depending on the project, community agreements, local tax structures and jurisdiction. ADIC does not claim every data center creates the same benefits.
Policy & Advocacy
POLICY THAT ENABLES RESPONSIBLE GROWTH
America's digital infrastructure needs are growing faster than many existing regulatory and infrastructure frameworks were designed to accommodate.
ADIC works with industry leaders, policymakers and stakeholders to support thoughtful policies that enable responsible development while addressing legitimate community and infrastructure considerations.
